Your aligners are planned from digital scans of your teeth and bite. Before treatment begins, we usually walk you through a 3D simulation that shows each planned tooth movement from start to finish, so you know what to expect.
How clear aligners work.
Each set of trays moves your teeth a small amount. You wear them most of the day and night and take them out to eat, drink anything but water, and brush. You switch to a new set on a schedule Dr. Patel sets, with check-ins along the way.
Aligners for teens.
Teens can use clear aligners too. Because the trays are removable, results depend on wearing them as directed, so we talk through what that takes with both the teen and the parent.
When aligners fit, and when they don’t.
Aligners work well for many cases of crowding and spacing. Some bite problems are better treated another way. For complex bite cases, we work closely with experienced orthodontists and refer you when that’s the better path.
After your teeth move.
Teeth tend to shift back without a retainer, so you’ll wear retainers after aligner treatment to keep your result. We make your retainers here.
