Dental implants · Bensenville, IL

Dental implants, planned in 3D and placed in our office.

A dental implant is a small post placed in the jawbone that supports a crown, a bridge, or a denture. At MCDI, Dr. Patel plans each case from a 3D CBCT scan, places the implant in our Bensenville office, and delivers the final restoration himself.

Which implant option fits you?

The right option depends on how many teeth are missing and the bone that supports them.

  • Single-tooth implant. One implant and one crown replace one missing tooth, without reshaping the neighboring teeth the way a traditional bridge does.
  • Implant bridge. Several missing teeth in a row are replaced by a bridge supported by implants.
  • Bone grafting and sinus lifts. When there isn’t enough bone for an implant, grafting or a sinus lift can build it up first.
  • Full-arch implants. A full upper or lower set of teeth anchored to implants, fixed or removable.

How implant treatment works at MCDI.

  1. Consultation and 3D scan. A conversation about your goals, plus a CBCT scan so Dr. Patel can see your bone, nerves, and sinuses.
  2. Your plan and your fee. Dr. Patel walks you through your options and gives you your fee in writing. Guided surgery is available when your case calls for it.
  3. Implant placement. The implant is placed in our office, then given time to heal. Healing time depends on your case, and grafting adds time.
  4. Your final restoration. Your crown, bridge, or denture is designed from digital scans, and Dr. Patel delivers it himself.

Planned in 3D before surgery.

Your CBCT and digital impressions come together so implant position is planned against your bone and anatomy before surgery.

  • 3D imaging: CS 8200 3D CBCT. Bone, nerves, and sinuses in 3D.
  • Digital impressions: TRIOS 5 · IS 3800W. Your teeth, gums, and bite.
  • In-house production: crowns designed from your scans; long-term temporaries are printed in our office, and most final crowns are made by a dental lab.

Is an implant the right choice?

Not always, and we’ll tell you when it isn’t. If a tooth can be saved, root canal treatment is a real option: we refer it to a trusted endodontist and coordinate your care. A traditional bridge or a partial denture may also fit. Bone volume, gum health, medical history, and habits like smoking all shape the plan, and your CBCT scan shows what’s possible.

What dental implants cost.

In the Bensenville area, a single implant with an extraction, bone graft, custom abutment, and crown has a typical total of about $4,865 (in-network allowed) to $6,787 (provider billed), per FAIR Health Consumer, ZIP 60106, September 2026. These are area estimates, not MCDI’s fees. Your exact fee is given to you in writing during treatment planning, before treatment begins.

Fees may vary based on individual needs and complications. Grafting, the number of implants, and the type of restoration move a case within the range. If you choose IV sedation or general anesthesia, it is billed separately by the anesthesia provider.

Financing and insurance: Cherry, Proceed, and CareCredit, plus discounts for paying in full. In-network with Delta Dental Premier; we accept most PPO plans with out-of-network benefits and file claims for you.

How we keep you comfortable.

Implant surgery is done with local anesthesia to numb the area, and oral anti-anxiety medication is available for nervous patients. If your case calls for IV sedation or general anesthesia, it can be arranged in our office, provided by an independent physician or dental anesthesiologist.

Dental implant FAQs

How long do dental implants last?

Implants are designed for long-term function with proper care. How long yours lasts depends on your health, your bite, and your home care and checkups.

What if I don’t have enough bone?

Bone grafting or a sinus lift can build up bone before or during implant placement. Your CBCT scan shows whether you need it.

Does insurance cover dental implants?

It depends on your plan. MCDI is in-network with Delta Dental Premier, accepts most PPO plans with out-of-network benefits, and files claims for you.

Can my tooth be saved instead?

Sometimes. When root canal treatment can save a tooth, we refer you to a trusted endodontist and coordinate your care.

Who places and restores my implant?

Dr. Patel, a general dentist. He plans each case, places the implant in our office, and delivers the final restoration himself.
